Nybegynnerkurs i flamenco

Har du lyst til å lære deg å danse flamenco? I løpet av festivalen blir det tre nybegynnerkurs. Instruktør blir Marie-Andrée Cloutier fra Canada, i samarbeid med Flamenco i Norge.

Nybegynnerkurs avholdes tirsdag 9.mars mellom 18:00 og 19:00. Onsdag og torsdag blir det påbygning for de som vil lære litt mer mellom klokka 18:00 og 19:30. Tirsdag er kurset i Salsademikas Dansestudio mens onsdag og torsdag er kursene i 4.etg på Driv.

Marie-Andrée started to dance Flamenco in Montreal in 1995. Recipient of a Canada Art Council Grant, she continued her formation in Granada, Madrid and Sevilla. She studied under different masters such as Manuel Reyes, Domingo Ortega, Isabel Bayon and Alicia Marquez.

In 2002, she co-founded the dance company CARAVANA FLAMENCA, and  choreographed and danced in different shows: Ay Flamenco, Ahora and Tres En El Encuentro.

In 2007 she joined the ballet ARTE DE ESPANA in Montreal, under the direction of Lina Moros, and danced in Azafran Or Rouge

In the last few years, she discovered a new passion: the argentinian tango. Working with a partner brought her a new dynamic: -le mouvement a deux- the dialogue and exchange in the expression of movement.

In 2007 she went to Buenos Aires to perfect her art with different masters such as Aurora Lubiz, Gabriela Elias and the Studio DNI.

Marie-Andrée dances and teaches Flamenco in Montreal, Quebec and Rimouski, and is currently working on the choreography of the Opera Carmen, to be presented in Rimouski in 2010.
